An investigative firm should be checkable
What we do
CoinSentry Recovery Ltd is an investigative and analytical firm working on cryptocurrency fraud, asset tracing and counterparty due diligence. We are engaged by individuals who have lost funds, by businesses dealing with fraud or misappropriation, and by law firms who need the on-chain component of a matter documented to a standard that survives cross-examination.
The work is unglamorous. Most of it is reconstructing transaction graphs, matching bridge transfers across chains, checking registration records, and writing down what was found in a way that a non-technical reader can follow. There is no proprietary breakthrough and no privileged access. There is method, applied carefully, and written up honestly.
What we are not
We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. We are not a licensed financial adviser. We are not a debt collector, and we have no power to compel anyone to return anything. Where a matter needs those things, we work alongside the people who can provide them.
We have no contacts inside law enforcement or intelligence agencies, and we would be suspicious of any firm claiming otherwise. Our referrals go through the same public reporting channels available to you. What we add is a package the receiving officer can act on instead of closing, which is a real difference and a boring one.
On the claims we have left out
You will not find a recovery success rate on this site, because we would have to invent it and you would have no way to check it. You will not find a founding date older than our domain registration. You will not find client logos we have no permission to display, or testimonials we cannot substantiate.
The counters elsewhere on this site count real rows in our database: addresses in the intel dataset, reports received, cases triaged. They are smaller and less impressive than the numbers competitors publish. That is the point of them.
How to check us
Look up our company registration in the public register directly rather than through a link we provide. Check the domain registration date against any claim about how long we have operated. Ask for the fee structure in writing before sending anything, and read whether the fee attaches to hours worked or to funds released. Ask what happens if we find nothing, and see whether the answer describes a real scenario.
Apply the same tests to every firm that contacts you, particularly the ones that contacted you first.
How we approach the work
Four positions that shape what our reports look like and which matters we take.
Method over mystique
Our reports show their working. Every assertion is cited to a transaction hash, a preserved capture or a public record, so a reader can verify the conclusion rather than trust it. Analysis that cannot be checked is an opinion wearing a report's clothing.
Calibrated confidence
We distinguish between what is established, what is probable and what is possible, and we say which is which. A cluster attribution stated with more confidence than the evidence supports is how the wrong person ends up named in a police file.
Publish the useful parts
Our briefs are written to help someone who never becomes a client. Prevention is cheaper than investigation for everyone involved, and a field where the public understands the typologies is a harder field to operate a fraud in.
Say no out loud
A meaningful share of enquiries end with us saying the trail is cold, the amount does not justify the cost, or the client does not need a firm at all. Declining work is the clearest signal that the assessment was honest.
Tell us what happened. We will tell you if it is worth pursuing.
Triage costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You get a written assessment of whether the trail is live enough to act on, and if it is not, you get told that too.
No obligation. No upfront fee at triage. No promise of recovery.
