How we work

Four stages, and you can stop after the first

Triage is free and non-committal by design. If your matter is not worth pursuing, you should be able to hear that without having paid for the privilege, and without a salesperson between you and the analyst who formed the view.
  1. 01

    Intake and triage

    No chargeWithin 1 business day

You submit what you have. An analyst reads it and answers one question: is there enough of a live trail here to be worth pursuing? You get that answer in writing, and it is free. A meaningful share of enquiries get told no at this stage, which is the point of having the stage.

  2. 02

    Scoping and engagement

    1 to 2 days

If the matter is viable, we propose a scope: what we will examine, what you will receive, how many analyst hours it takes and what it costs. Nothing begins until you sign it. There is no fee attached to releasing your funds, because that is not a thing that exists.

  3. 03

    Investigation

    1 to 3 weeks typically

On-chain tracing, infrastructure analysis and open-source work run in parallel. You can see progress in the client portal as it happens rather than waiting for a reveal, and you will hear from us if we find something that changes the assessment, including if it changes it for the worse.

  4. 04

    Report and referral

    On completion

You receive an evidence package built to be used: cited, structured, and formatted for law enforcement intake or civil counsel. Where there is a route to recovery we set it out and we help you take it. Where there is not, we say so directly and explain why.

Commitments

Four things we hold ourselves to

These are not marketing lines. They are the specific behaviours that separate an investigative firm from a recovery scam, which is a distinction this industry has largely stopped making.

No fee to release funds, ever

We charge for analyst hours against a scope you signed. We will never ask for a payment described as a tax, gas fee, bond, clearance or commissioning charge to unlock your own assets. No such mechanism exists, and any firm invoicing one is defrauding you.

Scope in writing before work starts

You see what will be examined, what you will receive, how many hours it takes and what it costs, before anything begins. If the scope needs to change mid-investigation, that is a conversation, not an invoice you discover later.

Bad news arrives early

If we form the view that the matter is not worth pursuing, you hear it as soon as we form it. We would rather close a case at hour six than bill forty hours into an outcome we could already see.

Your data stays yours

Case material is encrypted at rest and scoped to the analyst assigned. Evidence files sit in private storage requiring a signed, short-lived link. We do not sell data, and we do not publish case details without written consent.

Questions

Straight answers, including the unflattering ones

Can you guarantee you will recover my money?

No, and anyone who does is lying to you. Tracing is close to deterministic because public ledgers do not forget. Recovery is not: it depends on whether funds stopped somewhere a court can reach, whether the amount justifies the legal cost, and whether a prosecutor or civil counsel will act. Those are outside our control, so promising an outcome would be dishonest.

How do you charge?

Triage is free. Beyond that we charge for analyst time against a written scope agreed before any work starts. We do not charge a fee to release funds, we do not ask for cryptocurrency, and we do not take a percentage of money we did not recover. If a firm's fee is attached to unlocking your balance rather than to work performed, that firm is running the second fraud.

Someone contacted me offering to recover my funds. Are they legitimate?

Probably not. Victim lists circulate and are resold, and unsolicited approaches after a loss are fraudulent far more often than not. Legitimate firms do not cold-call fraud victims. Send us the details and we will give you an opinion at no charge, including when the opinion is that you do not need us either.

Do you have contacts inside law enforcement or intelligence agencies?

No. No private firm does, and claims to the contrary are a reliable indicator of fraud. We file through the same public reporting channels available to you. What we add is an evidence package structured so the receiving officer can act on it instead of closing it, which is a real and unglamorous difference.

How quickly do I need to act?

Quickly. The window between a fraudulent transfer and funds reaching an uncooperative off-ramp is often hours. That said, a cold trail is not always a dead one: consolidation addresses stay visible, and cases have been advanced months later when an operation was disrupted elsewhere. Do not assume it is too late without asking.

Tell us what happened. We will tell you if it is worth pursuing.

Triage costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You get a written assessment of whether the trail is live enough to act on, and if it is not, you get told that too.

No obligation. No upfront fee at triage. No promise of recovery.
